It's not a trick. It's real hardware.
MacBooks with Apple silicon carry a tiny accelerometer that macOS keeps to itself. SlapMeNow talks to it directly: it reads your laptop's movement two hundred times a second, recognises the hit and measures its force, so a light tap and a firm slap never get the same reaction.
No microphone listening, no admin password, no data leaving your Mac. It all happens right there, in a few milliseconds.

You step away for a second, leave your MacBook on a café table or at the office, and someone reaches for it. With SlapMeNow's anti-theft a touch is enough: move it, tilt it or close the lid and a siren fills the whole room, while the camera snaps a photo of whoever tried and saves it to iCloud too.

Before you ask.
Does it work on my Mac?
You need a MacBook with Apple silicon and macOS 13 Ventura or later, because the sensor lives inside the laptop: we've tested it on a MacBook Pro M4. iMac, Mac mini and Mac Studio don't have the accelerometer, so SlapMeNow can't feel hits there. If your MacBook runs an older system, updating it is free: System Settings, General, Software Update.
Could I break my Mac?
Light taps are all it takes, and sensitivity is adjustable: SlapMeNow even picks up two fingers pressed firmly on the edge of the laptop. Save the real slaps for your reels.
What does it read from my Mac?
Only the sensor's movement. It doesn't use the microphone, doesn't ask for passwords and sends nothing online, except the license check when you activate it.
What happens when the three taps run out?
The circle invites you to unlock SlapMeNow, and the next day your taps start over. No countdown, no expiry date.
I lost my license. Now what?
Go to Recover your license, type the email you bought with and we'll send it again in seconds.
Can I use it on more than one Mac?
Each license works on one Mac. If you get a new computer, reply to your license email and we'll move it to the new Mac.
