Who handles your data

The data controller is Haragei Marketing di Paulich Andrea, Via Della Pace 5, 46023 Gonzaga (MN), Italy, VAT number IT02775170208. For any request about your data, write to privacy@slapmenow.com.

What data we collect

When you ask to try SlapMeNow we collect your name, your email and, if you choose to give it, your phone number. When you buy a license we also process the data needed for payment, which goes straight to the payment provider and is not stored by us. When you activate the license on your Mac, the app sends the license key, the computer's name and an anonymous code derived from the Mac's hardware identifier, used only to tie the license to that computer.

Why we use it

We use your data to send you the app, to deliver your license and let you recover it, and, with your consent, to email you news and offers about SlapMeNow. The optional phone number is only used to find your license if you change email. The legal basis is the performance of the service you ask for and, for promotional emails, your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the link in every email.

Who we share it with

To run the service we rely on providers who process data on our behalf: the contact and email platform (HighLevel / LeadConnector), hosting for the website and license server (Vercel) and the payment provider (Stripe). Some of these providers are based in the United States and transfer data under the safeguards set out in the EU General Data Protection Regulation, such as standard contractual clauses. We never sell your data to anyone.

How long we keep it

We keep license data for as long as the license exists, because it's needed to recover it. Data used for promotional emails is kept until you withdraw your consent.

The site uses two kinds of tools. Technical ones are always on because the site needs them: a small storage in your browser remembers whether you prefer the Italian or English version and the choice you made about cookies. They don't identify you and don't require consent.

Marketing ones only start if you accept them in the banner. This is the pixel of Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd, which measures visits, trial sign-ups and purchases coming from our Facebook and Instagram ads and lets us show those ads to people who already visited the site. Meta also processes this data as an independent controller under its own policy (facebook.com/privacy/policy) and may transfer it to the United States under the Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. If you reject or close the banner, the pixel is never loaded.

We also count visits with the tool provided by Vercel Inc., which hosts the site: it records how many pages are opened, from which country, on what kind of device and which site people come from. It uses no cookies, assigns no identifiers and does not follow you across other sites, so it cannot be traced back to you: it only tells us whether what we write is working. Vercel processes this data on our behalf as a processor.

Fonts are hosted directly on slapmenow.com, so opening the site sends no data to Google. You can change your choice at any time from the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of every page; you won't be asked again for six months unless these tools change.

Your rights

At any time you can ask to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict its use, receive a copy or object to its processing, by writing to the address above. If you believe your data is being handled incorrectly, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali) or with the authority in your country.
